It's official. My home-away-from-home is closing its doors.
I haven't blogged (or quilted) lately dealing with the upheaval at my part-time job. Borders Books & Music announced today they will liquidate after all. After 10 years and many amazing friends & memories, that part of my life has ended.
Very, very sad. Very, very painful.
Oh, how sad. I hate to see book stores closing. I'm sure this is painful for you. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry that you are losing your special job! I love bookstores, and I love Border's! My son works full time at one in St. Louis and he is disappointed as well.

Sorry to hear that. I am very sad that our store here in Rapid City, SD is also closing. It is the only non-used book store in town, blah! Hope you can use your extra time on sewing.
ReplyDeleteSaw it on the news....SO sad! Borders was one of my first jobs as a teen! I hate to see any bookstore go under, but especially a big one like this, it's going to affect SO many people....you're going to be able to get unemployment, right?
